Northwest MedStar’s Certified Flight Communication Specialists may be located on the ground, but they’re with you every step of your flight. From the time they receive a flight request until the crew has safely returned to base, these dedicated professionals remain in constant contact with EMS Providers, hospital and medical personnel and the flight team.

As Certified Flight Communicators, it’s their job to receive the call, notify the appropriate team members and track the aircraft throughout its entire flight. Staff must have prior experience in computer-aided emergency dispatch, and are well-versed in medical terminology, aircraft use and maps – delivering a diversity of skills with the highest level of customer service. The team is so trusted that it also provides services to law enforcement, search and rescue teams and other air ambulance providers throughout the region.
